From a logical perspective, the car is raised up so the wheels are as far down as they'll ever go in most scenarios..once the car is lowered to the ground that part of the coilovers will raise up as the wheel gets pushed up..so it'll have a lot more clearance..
After the car is on the road, unless you're into launching the Z off ramps..I don't think the wheels will ever go down (decompressing the springs) far enough to touch the arms..
